The 93 repeater was constructed using an MSF5000 power supply and high power amplifier.  The control deck and VCOs from the MSF were removed and replaced with two Motorola CDM1550s, one handling the receive and the other the transmit.  The receiver also has a preamplifier that can be remotely commanded on or off.  The transmit power is attinuated from 20 watts to 4 watts by a band pass cavity before being fed into the PA.  The unit is cooled by a fan tray removed from a Motorola PURC-3 paging station.  The entire unit is powered by the MSF5000 power supply and also contains a battery backup unit.  Transmitter power before duplexers is approximately 125 watts.
